NKOTB Reunite on Today Show

(Old) New Kids on the Block | The Donnybrook Writing Academy

I can’t decide which joke to open with, so I’ll just play it straight: New Kids on the Block are back.

The Fab Five reunited on (of all places) NBC’s Today Show this morning, wooing a nationwide audience of stay at home mommies like it was 1988. Everyone’s favorite Bostonians are apparently back for some unclear reason and a live audience of gawkers got up very early in the cold, rainy weather to root the group at Rockefeller Plaza.

The band was ceremoniously revealed, emerging from behind a theatrical red curtain and standing tall (hanging tough?) in front of a futuristic, updated take on their old logo. They’ll be back on the show on May 16th to show off their pipes and what we can only hope will be more modern dance moves.

Here’s a reminder of what the world was missing, followed by footage of their appearance on the show. Tell us who your favorite member is in the comments.
