Day Eighteen

Once upon a time, approximateIy one month ago, I was having a spirited discussion with my boyfriend about how many band T-shirts I actually own. He told me that I had so many, I could wear a different one every day for a year. I disagreed, so we decided to finally figure it out, once and for all. Highly scientific calculations ensued, and it was determined that there are around 180. Only half a year’s worth (see, that’s not a crazy amount…right?). Somehow, this all led to the idea of me wearing a different T-shirt every day for a month (or 30 days).

This is a Rose Hill Drive T-shirt. I really love this band from Boulder, CO. They are the whole reason that I work for the company that manages them (and also manages Dinosaur Jr. and a bunch of other awesome bands). They played once at the venue where I work, and I was so impressed that I volunteered to help them do pretty much anything. They were nice enough to direct me to their manager, and I was eventually able to end up working for him. The guys in RHD have been nothing less than amazing to me, and I have repaid them by collecting what I believe to be every Rose Hill Drive T-shirt in existence. Maybe later, as a bonus for you readers, I will create a photo gallery of all of my Rose Hill Drive T-shirts. There are a lot of them. I also have quite a few RHD posters. Like, to the point where my boyfriend is WAY over it. And I have to keep them all on my side of the office. Rose Hill Drive’s latest release is “Moon Is The New Earth,” which came out on Megaforce Records in 2008. Check out the classic rock-inlfuenced track “Sneak Out,” and the stoner anthem “Do You Wanna Get High?”
