Day Twenty-Seven

Once upon a time, approximateIy one month ago, I was having a spirited discussion with my boyfriend about how many band T-shirts I actually own. He told me that I had so many, I could wear a different one every day for a year. I disagreed, so we decided to finally figure it out, once and for all. Highly scientific calculations ensued, and it was determined that there are around 180. Only half a year’s worth (see, that’s not a crazy amount…right?). Somehow, this all led to the idea of me wearing a different T-shirt every day for a month (or 30 days).

When my boyfriend was taking this picture of me in one of my Melvins T-shirts, he realized that we had some signed Melvins records hanging just over my head, including a first edition pressing of the debut album. So I helpfully pointed to them. This T-shirt glows in the dark, I believe. Which is totally awesome. So is Dale Crover, the drummer. I hung out with him one night after bartending at a Melvins show and he signed a record “To Cornelia, Thanks for messing me up.” Then he wrote a bunch of other stuff that was pretty much indecipherable. But I got his point.
