Election Coverage!

As you know, Donnybrook typically isn’t the “best place” to go for “straightforward,” “decent” “news” coverage, but let’s face it: you can only hit refresh on MSN.com so many times today before losing your mind. True story.
So here are three sites I’ve found today with some excellent Election Day coverage – something for fun, a couple things for function, and just a little something for all those people who are STILL UNDECIDED.
Good for: tunes to listen to whilst standing in line for voting
Three Imaginary Girls, a site based out of Seattle, is already a staple of the blogging community and has been for years. But today, we salute Three Imaginary Girls because they’re podcasting again – their Imaginary Podcasts! Today’s Imaginary Podcast is made up for Election Day, specifically for standing in those long lines. Check it out.
Good for: hour-by-hour election coverage
Obviously everyone’s heard of Slate.com, but my political junkie expert friend recommended this as the best place to keep an eye on today. They have an Election Day Tipsheet as well as an hour-by-hour guide to reading the returns.
Good for: easy-to-read election coverage
My other political junkie friend, cousin actually, who is a community organizer in MN, recommends this site. The pie charts make it desirable to me because let’s face it: I’d like to crack the champagne soon, and pie charts are much easier to read than words.
Good for: helping you to make up your mind!
Well aren’t politically-outspoken music bloggers the new politically-outspoken Hollywood actors? I mean, look at us! We all want to have Obama’s babies!*
Largehearted Boy is a music blog featuring free and legal music downloads, as well as commentary on music, literature, and pop culture – but during the campaign season they started a column called “Why Obama?”, where musicians and well-known authors write why they’re choosing to Barack to the Future.
Well, that’s it for now – gotta go back to my volunteering to take the blind elderly to vote! Oh, who am I kidding? I’ll be on Facebook. Let me know what sites you have bookmarked!
*Angora is the only one who wants to have Obama’s babies. She does not represent all of Donnybrook (necessarily)

I’ll be sitting at home Whiskey in one hand, and shotgun in the other. I’m ready for the riots.
I heard the riots did indeed happen
