This is the difference of good rap and bad rap. Good rap doesn’t need a hundred thousand dollar video budget to showcase an artist–the talent stands alone, or in this case, with Charlie Murphy. Buckshot aka BDI (from BCC or Black Moon) has rep’d the same dope style of “backpack rap” (Charlie coined it) since 1993, and each and every new song reflects his talent- he never goes overboard or changes up for lame record execs. So the dude is still not over his girl- remember, the wasted one who’s been in AA? Now he wants to get back with her, how adorable. As if this whole process has been horrible for him, his arm is always up in the air in some sort of “woe is me” gesture. He needs to unlearn that behavior. The song is alright, but I don’t think its genuine. He’s a dude-and for dudes it always “feels like tonight.”

Not because I love KISS or anything, but because I love my best friend, who’s in this video! She’s the much hotter chick on the bus in black with the straw hat. Fucking rad! No one I know has a claim to fame cooler than that…

Wow. I’ve never heard them before but that chick who sings is hot! It is weird that she let her mom play bass in her band though. Evidently Ace Frehley is coming to town for a solo show. It is my hope and dream that he just plays “Beth” over and over again. And that in between every one he murmurs something like “Hey! Let’s hear Beth again!” and then he says “What? Someone wants to hear it again? Okay!” and then the crowd sticks around just because they feel bad for him.
