Everest - Rebels in the Roses

Everest is presently way across the states and across the sea in support of their debut, Ghost Notes, warming stages for acts including Hayden, Langhorne Slim, Matt Costa–even Supergrass and Neil Young at a couple of festival stops. Regardless of where they’re playing, it seems likely their mellow, twang-inflected pop will find an appreciative audience.

Their sound is almost too easy to enjoy, bordering as it sometimes does on the type of VH1 accessibility that can turn bands into guilty pleasures. It’s okay, though, you don’t need to feel bad about liking a band this good.
