The Flobots Officially Get Popular | The Donnybrook Writing Academy

Flobots are officially popular. Sorta.

This morning, indulging in my morning ritual of scanning the frontpage of social news site Digg, I was more than a little surprised to see that Flobots’ video for “Handlebars” had somehow hit the tipping point and had achieved the “Popular” designation. My guess is that folks enjoyed the animation style and humorous flows, but there’s no telling what drives these nerds. A lot of them thought it was Cake, for what that’s worth.

Go give them some support now that they officially don’t need it or watch the less dazzling live action version of the video below:

    Cake, eh?… Now that you mention it, I think the similarity might have helped the Flobots blow up the way they have.
