Vengeful Videorama - Got Haterade? | The Donnybrook Writing Academy

Maino – Hi Hater

So, this is the newest, dopest hip-hop on the block (S.O.T.A.?)… a fucking affirmation. Maino is very aware of the haters in his life. Everybody is a hater at some point, I think, and I know there is a lot of shit in the world that I hate on, so in a way, this is like the friendliest song ever! Who knew some random hip hop artist could get all Shakespearean on our asses with such implicit self-contradiction and expressive wit? Fascinating!

Tabi Bonney – Beat Rock

So, again, some brand spankin’ new, dope hip-hop, but loved from a much different place in the genre. I’ve recently spent time in D.C., but haven’t gotten to see this guy live. I guess he’s the new indie-hip-hop persona out there, and like Maino, he’s dripping with self-content. My favorite part of this incredible cinematography (Cool Kids) is when he’s sporting the “I heart haters” t-shirt. T.B. has been ill in the east coast scene for quite a while, but has finally blessed some of the west. I’m so excited about this, I could just hate!

50 Cent – Many Men

This is a test… This is only a test. Does 50 Cent still suck balls, even listened to closely after how long? (I don’t know, don’t care to find out.) It’s been a while since “Many Men”… And, now that I really think about it, after all this time, even after his collaboration with Ciara, yes… this is some of the lamest music I’ve ever heard. I still hate on 50 Cent. I’m really the quintessential hater. I fucking yield it. But we all knew that now anyway, didn’t we? Time for a dishonorable-mention to 50 Cent, who’s worth will always parallel that of his namesake…

Well, I’m not too sure about that Maino. Kinda wack, what with his whole hand wave dance and all, but Tabi Bonneyis something completely different. I like (i mean hate) that dude very much. It’s one of those simple sounding songs that really really works. It’s an art to be so simple.

As for 50 Cent. My question is how could Eminem leave us with this shit? The dude hasn’t done a single thing hot, except the song “How to Rob” from the unreleased album Power of a Dollar from way back in 1999.
