Dog lovers! There is no reason to go to the pet store. There is a never-ending chain of tiny puppies, lovable old dogs, and everything in between, who have been left behind or abused by their jerkface jerkowners. That’s why we’re starting this Society for the Advancement of Adorable Puppies, where we’ll feature a dog who needs a home in Colorado. If you want to adopt these babies, email this address or call 303.919.7595.

Detroit is an absolute shelter and volunteer favorite. Because everyone loves him so much, they’ve kept him way past his end date. He’s now completely out of time and everyone is praying for a miracle. Can you please help us help smiley little D-town?

Detroit is a 2 to 4 year old pit bull. He came to us originally as a stray and was adopted for 1 week. He was returned because they did not ask their landlord’s permission before they brought him home. In one week he slept in the bed with the owner. He is very house trained and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He walks well on a leash and is somewhat reliable off leash. He is good with dogs. He tolerates and is easy going with kids, he interacted with kids between the ages of 6 and 10. Detroit enjoys running, car rides, toys, playing tug-o-war and fetch. His owner for one week described him as lap dog, loving, mellow, curious, playful, and a social butterfly.
