H&M Things To Buy For Your Servants

For those of you who DON’T live in Denver, the title of this post might not make as much sense, but please bear with me.

In honor of H&M’s LONG-awaited (mainly by me) arrival in Denver this November, I’ve decided to dedicate this month’s installment entirely to things that you can buy there. Luckily, pretty much everything in the store is totally servant-worthy, so my task was simplified. The hardest part was picking only three things to write about from the practically never-ending array of goods on display. But I persevered. Each of these lovely items costs only $5.95. Here are the results:

1. Embossed metal cuff bracelets (silver or gold)

Full disclosure: I bought two of these in silver and one in gold for myself. Why, you ask? (As did the clerk who rang me up.) BECAUSE. I want to be able to wear one matching silver bracelet on each wrist if I feel like it. I want to be able to wear one bracelet of each color on each wrist if I feel like it. It’s my damn prerogative, so quit asking me. My significant other made some disparaging remarks about me potentially looking like She-Ra with a giant cuff on each wrist, but I chose to take them as complimentary. Who doesn’t want to be a Princess Of Power? The texture on these massive bracelets is what makes them really stand out; it’s sort of an abstract mock-croc pattern. Très chic!

2. Green braided faux leather belt

This belt is awesome because it is fully adjustable. Those of you who have worn a belt before will know what I mean. Since it’s braided instead of having punched holes, this beauty will not only hold up your low-rise jeans, it will also cinch in your baggy cocktail dress neatly at your ACTUAL waist (which, according to my Mom, is about three inches higher than where you think it is). This is no small feat. And with such a small price tag, how can you go wrong?

3. Black tassel earrings

I am always on a quest to find large, interesting earrings that don’t weigh a ton. Maybe my earlobes are extra sensitive, but I seem to have an ongoing problem with earrings that are too heavy. That is certainly not the case with these stunners. Since they’re made almost entirely of light-weight embroidery thread, they are super easy to wear, while still packing a huge visual punch. Plus, I am kind of obsessed with tassels right now. They come in other colors (I think I saw bright fuschia, among others) but black is classic. Dress them up or down, these earrings go with anything!
