Ne-Yo – Closer
Okay dude, stop trying to be JT (Justin Timberlake, for all you who wonder). He did this video first–the nice suit, the frilly Spanish burlesque dancer, the black and white light edits… its all the same. Then I started to realize that this song, beat-wise, is incredibly annoying. And he “can’t stop.” Please, man. Please just stop. You can. You can stop. Please stop. You suck.
I’m wondering if this whole “can’t stop” thing will be picked up in the next Nike commercial, or if it’s supposed to be inspiring (no) or romantic (gak). I’d take JT over Ne-Yo any day either way.

Plies feat. Ne-Yo - Bust It Baby, Part 2
Yep, today is a big day for Ne-Yo at Donnybrook Manor, only because I realized Madonna comes with JT these days, and I want to avoid that shit. So here’s the new video with Plies, and its not all bad. Good color choices, like the magenta convertible Plies rides in with his old-dude chauffeur, who seems to get excessive screen-time for this video.
The song is a tribute to their chickie-poos, and it’s actually kinda sweet. The chickies look normal if not cute in their hoop earrings, and it’s a sunny day. Definitely not the worst video around these days, except Plies kinda sounds like he’s saying “Busted Baby,” not “Bust It Baby.”
