Father Guido and Angora Holly Polo, recently engaged, are starting their new lives together by creating a non-profit musician’s hostel called Donnybrook Manor: a sanctuary for road-weary musicians and a palace for starving artists. Here they will share with you their research, dreams, and doodles of what they hope Donnybrook Manor will be.

WIRED‘s bookcase secret door

This article is from way back in 2007, but it’s becoming more relevant to us now as we furiously daydream about Donnybrook Manor design. Put this one on the list of renovations: a bookcase that swivels to reveal a secret room! Should we make our secret room a panic room, a private getaway, or bondage dungeon? I personally like the idea of an indoor grotto with a hot tub filled with champagne, but for a more useful practice, we could let bands keep their expensive gear here.
