Lullaby

I fell asleep with my ears ringing
Mouth so dry, parched, my throat
Thinking about what he was singing

Oh, shivering. This nauseous feeling
Recalls the first time on a boat
I fell asleep with my ears ringing

Already dreading what tomorrow is bringing
Please, leave me alone, dig me a moat
I’ll be thinking about what he was singing

I stay still, but the room keeps swinging
So tired, I’ll just stay in my coat
And fall asleep with my ears ringing

Perfection is sleep. I adore dreaming
Reconciles two worlds, so remote
And think about what he was singing

Slowing down, the moments barely linking
Dearly hold on to that very last note
I fall asleep with my ears ringing
Thinking about what he was singing

Oh man, I totally always thought Anton O’Masia was a girl!

Goes to show I haven’t been spending enough time hanging around drinking martinis at the Donnybrook Country Club. I don’t even know all the folks living in this wacky, tiny town!

Anton is incognito. Veils of aloofity! YOU’LL NEVER KNOW. Actually, Anton would probably tell you who Anton is. Maybe.
