Every day at an undisclosed hour, Ms. Angora Holly Polo retires to the opium den in the lowest bellows of the manor and lets her servants blow opium smoke into her face before writing her music reviews. In this edition: “You’ll Find a Way (Switch and Sinden Remix)” by Santigold (formerly Santogold).

The chorus especially makes me feel like I’ve been put quite literally through a meat grinder–in the best way. It starts out innocently enough, and then her exotic human voice sounds like it turns into a robot–a scary one, like Terminator, coming at you with giant strobe lights flickering on its face while it axes away at your face. I was listening to this song alone and it made me frightened. I had to call Father Guido and tell him to change the oil lantern, as it had inconveniently chosen such a time to start flickering and I nearly soiled myself.

Hm. The mp3 is supposed to be streaming here. I guess it’s just that kind of day. Fun.
