My Older-Man-Celebri-Crush

So I watched No Country For Old Men last night. And I realize that, after watching this movie, here’s what I should have been thinking: “Wow, what a great movie. The sound design was superb (the sound design WAS superb). The lack of music gave the movie that suspense that has been lacking in so many cookie cutter action films today (this is true). Javier Bardem is a great character actor (this is also true).”
First, he’s a great actor. Anyone who saw The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada knows that. Also, he speaks pretty good Spanish, so he’s like intelligent and stuff. Also, he’s really funny- he holds his own and actually steals the show from Will Smith as the straight-man in all the Men In Black movies. And last night while watching No Country, I fell for his sensitive yet manly cowboy shtick yet again. Sigh.

I think my biggest celebrity crush, completely unrelatedly, is Benicio del Toro. He’s just such a bad ass. He kind of has his own accent. He kind of looks like a more beat up, exotic, uglier Brad Pitt if you catch him at the right angle. But he’s not Brad Pitt. The only reason this came to mind is he’s probably way too old for me. But he’s great. I think I’ll have his babies. Someday.
No Country For Old Men is a GREAT movie!
Also a sidenote: girly girls! UGH! celebrity crushes. Sickening.
