New Weezer Cover Art Goes Brokeback

Rivers Cuomo has a mustache. Okay, there’s nothing wrong with that. If he were my child, I’d say to myself, “It’s just a phase. He’ll grow out of it soon enough.”
However, Cuomo has taken the bold move of immortalizing his facial hair on the cover of what the band is referring to as Weezer #6, their new record due out June 24th on DGC. In the photograph, Cuomo dons Brokeback garb alongside his three bandmates with each sporting a decidedly different costume. It’s like the alternative rock Village People over here.
Thoughts?

When did Weezer become U2 circa Zooropa?
It’s simple, ironic, and elegant. Everything we have come to expect from Weezer. Thumbs up from Ivyy.
We should be glad we live in Denver cuz let me tell you: cowboys and yokels are the new black.
Black cowboys are the new yokels.
I support the mustache. It gives him a little bit of an insane look, which reinforces his actual insanity, as seen in this video.
