Spooky Things To Buy For Your Servants
1. Multi-strand overlapping chain necklace
Because chains are spooky, right? And at under ten dollars, this one is SUCH as bargain. I recently saw a similar piece by a well-known designer (I won’t name names) going for more than ten times this price. This is an insane deal, especially with free shipping, which you can either get with an email coupon or by being a Club O member. FYI, Club O members also get 5% back on all purchases to spend Overstock.com. So you can get cheap stuff for even cheaper.
2. Iggy Pop & James Williamson “Kill City” on green (!) vinyl (1977)
This is not an item that you can just go to a website like Overstock and buy whenever you want, but it is an amazing record and I never would have found it if I hadn’t been in a cool independent record store browsing. In this case the shop was Love Garden in Lawrence, KS. The price? Twenty dollars. I was also tempted by Melt-Banana’s “Catuses Come In Flocks” on regular vinyl for seven bucks. Jealous? You too can find gems like these EVERYWHERE. Just get the hell out there and support you local record store by buying something. Anything. Now. Oh, and this counts as spooky because the record is green. And it has the word “kill” in the title. Just go with it.
3. Vanilla/banana “Side-By-Side” milkshake
These hand dipped “Side-By-Side” milkshakes from Steak ‘n Shake are so unbelievably good that it’s spooky. You can combine any two flavors for only $3.29. The menu suggests combinations such as “Strawnana,” “Strawnilla,” and “Banocolate,” (seriously) but you can also create your own, which is what I opted for. I call it “Banilla,” and as the accompanying picture demonstrates, it was clearly an amazing choice. Although “Vanberry” was a close runner-up. Next time!
