Telephoned "Hold Me"

There is something to be said for a good gimmick.

In their video for “Hold Me,” Telephoned take the point-of-view shot to uncharted territories, following moments in the life of a razor, a surf board, and a swing, among other things.

It’s a fun conceit that never wears thin by virtue of the changing perspectives and the whole thing is colored in the washed out tones of a summer postcard. That feeling is amplified at the end of the track, when Maggie Horn leads the tune through an unexpected, sweet coda.
