“In August I bought a lap steel, left my girlfriend, and spent a month drinking too much whiskey and writing music,” says Widowers front man Mike Marchant in a Donnybrook exclusive. “It was fun and slightly traumatic.”
Alongside the Widowers album currently being recorded, Marchant is releasing an additional E.P. of songs that don’t fit into the Widowers album called “Outer Space and the Sea” – songs that are, shall we say, a little bit folkier?
You be the judge! Two whiskey-soaked mp3s below, still dripping with the tears of a thousand breakups. For you, dear readers.
