These days, there’s absolutely no excuse for having bad taste in music–even if you’re ages 2-5.

Yo Gabba Gabba! is a show on NickJr. that “brings to life four friendly monsters and a robot in a colorful land of music and laughter.” Which sounds right up my alley!

The press release literally says: “Yo Gabba Gabba! features an eclectic mix of music genres for preschoolers including, Pop, 80s, Electronic, New Wave, British Invasion, Hip Hop and more.” An eclectic mix….. For……….Toddlers. But still, if they’re going to be listening to music, might as well be music that doesn’t make Mommy want to put her head in the oven, am I right?

Check out a birthday song by the Ting Tings, and a Biz Markie beat of the day for Yo Gabba Gabba, below!

I can’t wait until I have kids so I can force them to watch that show. Also, it seems to me that The Biz should probably be watching shows like Yo Gabba Gabba, not performing in them.

My four year old loves this show, particularly resident artist Mark Mothersbaugh whom she calls “My friend Mark.” It feels great as a parent to have your kids say, “Mommy, mommy, it’s the Shins on TV” and find out that she is right.
